  • Minkata Shard Updated With Fan Ages

    OpenUru.org and their Minkata shard have been pushing quite a few new fixes and updates to the MOULa server as of late, but the most recent may prove to be one of the biggest and most exciting: fan Ages!

    For the first time ever, fan Ages are coming to Cyan’s official shard…and OU needs your help to do it!

    You can read all about it in the site’s forum thread. They are requesting testers to identify any bugs or glitches this new content may have so they can be fixed before everything is sent over to Cyan.

    Most notably, the Watcher’s Pub has been updated to add a new Book to Doobes’ Chiso Preniv library. From there, you can access the Ae’gura Guild of Messengers Pub and Veelay Tsahvahn. This is just a start, and hopefully more fan Ages will be added once this round of testing is completed and finally added to MOULa.

    • Gehn.27 is live! This release comes with three new Ages by Doobes, an improved voice chat and a truckload of improvements. Read all about it in our dedicated post. Note that the Vothol Gallery and Fehnir’s House are no longer on the Nexus, but in… one of the new Ages.
    • The fourth Age in the Secret of the Rainbow series by Jhon J. Jaguar, Somahoglahn, was released on the Deep Island shard. You can find tips on how to set a client up in our guide.
    •  Hotel reservations and T-shirt designs for Mysterium 2020 are now available: the Westin Alexandria Old Town in Alexandria, VA. Registrations are open with a $5 discount from now until May 31.
    • Submissions for events, enamel pins, activity book pages, as well as writing and artwork, are still open but will end soon.
  • Gehn.27 Is Now Live!

    Gehn.27 Is Now Live!

    After over a year and a half of work, the Guild of Writers‘ H’uru team has released the latest version of Gehn Shard with Gehn.27!

    This update was a long time in the making, and as such, there are a host of new fixes and additions…including new fan content!

    These include:

    • Add Ages from Doobes.
    • Add GNU and GPLv3 clothing items (t-shirt, long-sleeve shirt, fleece jacket).
    • Allow downloading all game files directly from Gehn.
    • Change the station on Zandi’s radio.
    • Fix avatar not closing the Relto book upon link-in to Relto.
    • Fix erroneous KI “blackbar” handles appearing on ultrawide resolutions.
    • Fix erroneous whitespace prepended to Age names in the Nexus.
    • Fix issue with unicode characters crashing the login dialog.
    • Fix the “Bill” Visitor issue in the StartUp Age.
    • Fix potential hang when connecting to an Age during the Link.
    • Improve voice chat by using the Opus codec and increasing sampling rate.
    • Restore link to Cyan’s Guild of Messengers Pub in Nexus.
    • Lecture errant subsystems.

    To get the latest version of Gehn Shard, simply log in to the shard as normal and the client will do the rest. If you haven’t signed up for Gehn Shard yet, you can find step by step instructions for Gehn in our guide to installing the shards.
